What were the problems with the Plymouth Colony?
Many of the colonists fell ill. They were probably suffering from scurvy and pneumonia caused by a lack of shelter in the cold, wet weather. Although the Pilgrims were not starving, their sea-diet was very high in salt, which weakened their bodies on the long journey and during that first winter.

What is one way the original colonies were different?

the New England colonies were known for their focus on trade, fishing, and shipbuilding, while the Southern colonies relied heavily on agriculture, particularly tobacco and later cotton. The Middle colonies had a more diverse economy and were known for their religious diversity and tolerance.

What is the difference between an Enslaved Person and an Indentured Servant?

Despite some similarities to enslavement, indentured servants ultimately attained their freedom once they completed their contract, while enslaved people were permanently denied their freedom unless they could obtain the means to purchase themselves or successfully escape.
