Discuss the major events of the 2nd and 3rd crusade
The Turks conquered the city of Edessa and started a new crusade but were badly defeated. Saladin conquered Jerusalem so king Richard started the 3rd crusade. At the end the Turks and Christians came up with a truce that stated that Saladin gave the Christians permission to pilgrimage to Jerusalem and they didn't have to pay tribute. But the city of Jerusalem was completely under control of the Muslims.
