When Is the RA on call phone active?
The phone is turned on at 5pm and turned off at 8am when the desk opens. The resident assistant is available 24 hours from 5pm starting Friday.
Should I stuff as much laundry in the washing machine as possibly can to make it cheaper?
No! too many clothes in a single washing machine could cause a backup and flooding. Too many clothes in a dryer could cause it to overheat and burn your clothes.
But your clothes will be dry.

If you feel like your roommate is upset and seems like they will hurt themselves or others, should you contact the Ra on call?
If you feel as if anyone is going to hurt themselves or others, please contact campus police so that this issue can be handled as swiftly as possible. The police will contact the RA, and if necessary, the counselor on call.

If there is an emergency should I call 911?
No, you should contact university police. Calling 911 will lead to the police dispatcher to transfer your call over to the university police station. (Note: the number to university police- (318) 357 5431)
Are you able to call the ra on cal to respond to a notice concerning finance or papers you must submit?
Please don't. anything concerning notices or you needing to submit something to the office can be done during our office hours. The ra on call is there to assist during minor to major emergencies.
How does one get an overnight guest approved?
•Answer: come to front desk and ask to sign an overnight guest form. This form must be signed and approved by all of your roommates. (Note: as a safety precaution the RA on duty must see your roommate sign this paper so the resident must bring their roommates down to the desk to sign the paper).
What should you do when you leave your room?
What do you do when there is a leak in the bathroom, whether its underneath the sink or the toilet?
Turn the water off, then contact the RA or go to the front desk if the office is open.
When must an overnight guest form be signed?
At least 48 hours before the guest arrival. This gives the university housing staff time to approve the form.
Why do we have two different wifi networks?
Game consoles can slow down the overall university place wifi, so two wifi networks exists to ease the strain on the overall system.

$5.00. A hold is placed on your account. (Note: The money that is not used in this fee will be returned to your card within 24 hours during business days)
How do you report internet issues?
•Answer: Contact CP-Tel and report the issue. The company will then provide a ticket number to that resident who will give this number to the resident assistant at the desk. (Note: the ticket must be confirmed with the RA so that we know which room to send the CP-Tel worker when they arrive)
