Emergency Helpers
This person helps to solve crimes and catch people who break the law.
Police officer
This person grows our food and takes care of animals.
Farmer
This lady is our secretary. She answers phone calls and questions, makes sure the school has everything it needs, and helps us if we need a band-aid or to phone our parents when we are sick.
Mrs. Leece
This person works with sports teams. This person helps teams practice, learn the rules, and goes with them to games to help them know what they should do.
Coach
This vehicle comes to your house with helpers called paramedics if someone is very sick or hurt.
Ambulance
This helper drives us to school every day and takes us home in the afternoon.
School bus driver
This person is our principal. He makes sure that all the teachers have what they need, and helps anyone if they have a problem.
Mr. Kemp
This person helps people take care of their hair - they cut hair and keep it looking nice and healthy.
Hairstylist / hairdresser
This person takes care of you if you are sick or hurt at an office or a hospital.
Doctor
This person fixes roads, builds houses, or fixes parts of buildings that might be broken.
Construction worker
This person is a teacher. She helps the Grade 1 and 2s learn reading, math, science, and art. She takes them to the gym for games.
Mrs. Dousselaere
This place has lots of community helpers! This is a place where kids go when their moms and dads are at work, and there are workers there who take care of them.
Daycare
This person helps doctors take care of people who are in a hospital.
Nurse
This person takes care of animals who are sick, hurt or need help.
Veterinarian
This person is our librarian. She takes care of all the books, reads us stories, and helps at snack and recess too.
Miss C/Mrs. Enns
This person helps you to buy food at the store. They work at the cash register and tell you how much money you need to pay, they put your food in bags or boxes, and they might even help you bring it to your car.
Grocery store clerk
This person helps if there is a building on fire or a car accident.
This person keeps our teeth healthy and fixes them if they're hurting.
Dentist
This person is our custodian. He cleans the school, fixes things that are broken, and makes sure the grass is cut and the snow is cleared.

This person drives around with a big truck, stopping at houses to pick up bags full of garbage.
Garbage collector
