Give your full attention when walking in the community. Music, games, videos, phone conversations or texting while walking in the community can wait for a later time.
Cross the street at a crosswalk or at an intersection with a crosswalk. Use a pedestrian crosswalk light if present.
Stop, Look left, Then look right, Then look left again for oncoming traffic.
Keep your head on a swivel, looking around you when walking in the community or crossing streets. Avoid looking down at your feet.

It is important because of inclusivity! Whether you need certain accessibility features or not, you may have friends or family members who need them. And as a part of a community, it is important that all spaces are open and accessible for everyone!

They typically have a uniform or badge, a form of ID that shows what their role is
