What is the difference between Gradable and Non- Gradable adjectives


Gradable adjectives describe qualities that can exist in varying levels. 

Non-gradable adjectives describe qualities that are absolute and don't vary in degree.

Exaplain the comparative and superlative rule:

1. short

Rule1: short adjectives, you add "-er" to form the comparative and "-est" to form the superlative. SHORTER THAN / THE SHORTEST

Rule2: short adjectives with -e, you add "-r" to form the comparative and "-st" to form the superlative. LARGER THAN / THE LARGEST

Rule3: Double the final consonant before adding "-er" for the comparative and "-est" for the superlative.  WETTER THAN / THE WETTEST
