Due to a system issue, it's best to reconfirm the monthly payment amounts in Billing Center after issuing the transaction.

How often are we required to offer coverage review?

Ask customer if they would like a review of the policy they called about if it has been more than 12 months since the last conversation. 

If Yes, follow the PC - Policy Review procedure.

What needs to be done if client has multiple auto policies and they are adding OAB during vehicle sub?

In cases where the insured has multiple policies, whether the policies are on the same or multiple accounts, the same Optional Accident Benefits must be added to all policies.

If the eligible driver is listed as a principal operator on multiple vehicles, the endorsement must be applied on every eligible vehicle whether on the same policy or several policies.

Which two (2) coverages are not provided under Standard Auto Insurance Policy Accident Benefits?

1. Dependent Care benefit 

OAB provides:

  • Coverage up to $75 per week for the first dependent and $25 per week for each additional dependent to a maximum of $150 per week.

2. Indexation benefit (*Applicable to income replacement benefit, non-earner benefit, caregiver benefit, attendant care benefit or medical and rehabilitation benefit.)

OAB provides: 

Annual adjustment according to the Consumer Price Index for Canada.

Any time we are making changes on auto policy and see that clients are eligible to have Accident Forgiveness.

Why is it important to provide clients with correct payment information?

It is our due diligence to be transparent and provide accurate information to the client, to build trusting and long-lasting relationships and to avoid negative customer experience in case of the payment issues (ex. Payment goes NSF or the policy cancellation for non-payment.)
