What is the Clery Act?
It is a federal law that requires universities to report about crime on and around their campuses.
A bias incident occurred where a problematic and harmful comment was written on a bulletin board targeting a racial identity. One of your residents comes to you and tells you they know who did it because they saw them do it.

See if they can furnish any form of identification. If they're unable to do so, call Mines PD. If it's close by (i.e. downstairs in their room), see if another RA can help escort them to get it.

We no longer need to write IRs if you can't attach an alcohol or marijuana incident to a room/person.
Two of your residents haven't gotten along since day one. They fight all the time. One of them just came to you and said they want to move. Should you write an IR?
Yes you should! You should write IRs from the beginning of a roomie tiff so we're able to track any escalation. There is now a new drop down for roomie conflicts!
You should also help with any form of mediation (as appropriate).
You're working at the desk and suddenly the fire alarm goes off and the building is evacuating. As you're walking out, your residents tell you they accidentally set it off while cooking. What do you do?
-Call Mines PD and let them know the alarm is going off (also let them know you believe you know the source of it)
-Get out of the building and head to your evacuation spot, serve as crowd control and support for your residents
-Use the fire alarm log in erezlife, not an IR
