NO! Ladies, be sure that your dresses or skirts are not too short. There is no specific length, but use your best judgement when deciding if the dress is church appropriate.

If you can't find a modest dress or skirt to wear, you can wear a nice dress top or blouse with slacks.

"No t-shirts, hoodies, fleece or tank tops, no low cut or midriff outfits. No mini or micro-skirts, no low-rise pants and absolutely no denim." - Archdiocese of St. Louis

As for makeup, it is fine to wear it as long as it is appropriate. We will warn you though that if you wear a lot of foundation on your forehead, it may come off on the bishop's hand when he anoints you with oil.

DAILY DOUBLE: What solemnity do we recognize as the first confirmation ever?

Pentecost

Acts 2:1-8 - Apostles gathered in a house, a strong wind swept through the house, tongues as of fire rested over each of them, they were filled with the Holy Spirit, immediately they began to praise God in many different languages.

Now this doesn't mean that you are going to be able to speak in different languages like the apostles after you are confirmed, but it does represent that you will have all the gifts needed to spread God's love and word.

See if you can find the super beautiful mural depicting Pentecost in the Basilica on Saturday. Hint: It's on the ceiling near the front.
