A Sacrament is an outward sign instituted by Christ to give grace.
What is MORTAL & VENIAL sins?
MORTAL: A grave infraction of the law of God that destroys charity in the heart and is a turning away from God.
VENIAL: A less serious sin that hurts our friendship with God but does not break it completely. Venial Sin weakens our relationship with God and makes it harder for us not to commit more serious sins in the future.
