Types of Conflict
The type of conflict that puts a character directly against another character (an antagonist).
Man vs. Man
A type of conflict within the character.
Internal Conflict
Jimmy and Eric compete for the same position on the baseball team.
Man Vs. Man
A conflict between a character and an outside force.
External Conflict
Alexa caught her friend Jamie stealing from a classmate. Now Alexa must choose between keeping her friendship with Jamie and doing the right thing. What type of conflict is this?
Man Vs. Self
Vanessa makes an art project protesting police brutality. Her art teacher loves the project and tries to feature it in the town art show, but the county commission rejects the project. Now Vanessa, her art teacher are going to fight for the freedom of expression. What type of conflict is this?

The character battles an unjust element of government or culture (multiple people).
