Ignore what you can.  Ask them to stop.  Sit with your friends  so you have people around  you who are being nice to you.  Tell the bus driver.

You are working in a store and your friends stop by, you see some of them slipping candy into their pockets.  What do you do?

Let them know that you both could get in trouble for this, especially if you don't stop them.  If they continue, ask them not to even stop in anymore or talk to your supervisor about it.

A group of your co-workers are working on a work project, they tell you that you can't be part of the team because you are not good enough.  How do you handle the situation? 

You could go find something else to do.  Or talk with them and let them know that this is not fair, and you always try your best.

Discuss what it means to be a good worker/work ethic.  Are you distracting co-workers and holding up work from being completed? Use your break time.

A student in your class was sneaking out of school and you know that this is not allowed.  They threaten to hurt you if you tell the teacher.  What should you do. 

Tell the teacher anyway.  If someone is threatening you this is not safe.  If you wanted to, you could write the teacher a note if you are worried about the student finding out.

There is an old saying "the customer is always right."  Is this true or what do you think this means? 

Find ways of de-escalating the situation if you come across a angry or upset customer.  Remember sometimes it's better to let them have their way, rather than lose a customer or have a bad reputation.

Use anger management strategies to calm down.  When calm, let them know that they went too far.

Discuss work ethic/excellence.  If you are not happy with what you have with work, then it may be time to find a new job.  It is never okay to steal, no matter how small.

A "friend" of yours is constantly making fun of you in front of others, but nice to you when you are both alone.  You are confused and hurt by this behavior. What should you do? 

Talk about it with the "friend".  Let them know that is is not okay for them to be mean to you.  Decide if this "friend" is worth continuing a friendship with.

Your workplace requires receipts for returns.  A customer wants to exchange an item, but they don't have a receipt.  Do you still exchange or return the item?

Always contact a supervisor in this situation.  As an employee you are not to make these judgement calls.  Explain the situation to your boss/supervisor and let them make the call.

Ignore it if you can.  Ask them about it calmly.  If they were talking about you, then use an "I" message to let them know how you feel.

A co-worker is always messing up at work and you are getting the blame.  The other co-worker is not aware that they are even messing up.  What should you do.

Speak politely to the other co-worker and ask if they need help or further explanation on what they should be doing.  Speak with a supervisor and offer to help train them.

The supervisor should never put you in a position where you feel uncomfortable with what has been asked of you.  Let them know that this makes you feel uneasy or look for a different job.

Someone started a rumor about you that was very hurtful.  You know who started it.  What should you do? 

After you have cooled off, talk to the person.  Let them know how it make you feel.  Ask them how they can fix it, they need to take some responsibility.

You are working at a store and a customer is saying rude and disrespectful things to you and others at the store.  What is the best way of dealing with this?

As an employee, there is no reason that a customer should be speaking to you in such a way.  Best thing to do is contact a manager and let them deal with the situation, you are not getting paid to be mistreated.
