What does SGA stand for?
Student Government Association
TWO purposes of SGA related to student life.
Representing student interests, planning activities, providing service opportunities, promoting school spirit, encouraging involvement, etc.

What are the requirements to be on the executive board?
Been in SGA the year prior to election
Must be enrolled in a full year of SGA
All Executive Board members must have a positive referral from the SGA advisor
SGA gives students the responsibilities and privileges of what kind of system?
A republican form of democracy
How any members must be present in order to conduct an SGA meeting?
50% plus 1 is necessary to conduct all business
What GPA must members have to join SGA?
3.0 (unweighted)
Name TWO things SGA can do under its powers listed in the constitution.
Develop policies for student activities, plan fundraisers, meet with principal, coordinate activities.
What are the qualifications you must have to be Student Body President?
Must be a senior
May not be president of any other club on campus
May not run again for president (only one term!!)
What happens if a member violates their qualifications during membership?
They may be removed from office by the Student Body Officers and the advisor
What do must you say when they call attendance?
Present!! (loud please so they can hear you)
What is ICC?
ICC is basically a meeting of all the club representatives on campus.
When are our three D3 meetings this school year?
Oct. 25 @ East River
Dec. 13 @ Lake Nona
Feb. 7 @ Timber Creek
What are the duties of Student Body Secretary?
To keep the official record of all SGA meetings
Keep attendance records of meetings and activities.
Keep a permanent record of minutes
Count and record votes when taken
How many unexcused absences can a senator (SGA member) have per semester before it’s a problem?
No more than 7
3/4 majority of entire SGA
What three groups does the preamble say SGA is trying to unite?
Faculty, students, and parents.
