I would discover the 2022 rate for this tax by using the tax vertex document and then discover the rate being charged for the employee out of the legacy system. I would check the employees taxable wages and multiply by the proper 2022 rate to find the amount that should have been charged. I then subtract that amount from what was actually taxed for the employee to discover if Prism is calculating correctly
You are validating your employee census information but you notice there are 4 bank accounts, two of them with fixed and 0 as the amount but the account is set to active. What is the reason this can be happening?
The employee could have an HSA account, which means we may need to modify the settings of the accounts to read EE or CO HSA to CHECKING/SAVING.
This would always need to be confirmed by looking at the legacy ee census data for direct deposit
How do you figure out if a deduction is pre-tax or post-tax?
Look up the deduction code in Prism.
OR
Do the math - If pre-tax deduct the deduction amount and then multiply the remaining gross amount by FICA (1.45/6.2)
If post-tax multiply gross by FICA (1.45/6.2) then deduct the deduction.
How do you set up paperless delivery?
