Arrive no earlier than 10mins before, do not take cookie sales from actively selling troops. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU BLOCK WALKWAYS. At VONS customers need to be able to pass with their carts on the sidewalk. Start packing up 10-15mins before your shift ends. Leave the area cleaner than you found it, take all case boxes with you, do NOT use trash cans on site for you GS trash.
What is proper booth etiquette?
January 11, 2019, 11:59pm. Initial order due and troop setup due. Refer to page 21 in your TCM handbook. Your troop order history letter came with your TCM packet and will help you determine your initial order based on last years sales.
What is the initial order deadline?
Troop to troop transfers are tracked in eBudde under the cookie exchange tab. When transferring cookies to another troop the troop proceeds and credit towards rewards also transfers.
The troop that transfers the cookies out enters the transaction in eBudde. Both troops should print and sign 2 copies of the receipt and each keep one.
You do NOT use an M-3 to transfer cookies.
Consider posting your extra inventory on the SU Facebook Page, help your local troops before reaching out to the council exchange page.
Can you exchange cookies with other troops?
No public facing posts. This means no posts on Facebook Marketplace, No Craigslist, No nextdoor. You must personally know everyone that you are sending your daughters digital cookie link to.
Friends and family of a girl must NOT share a girls contact information, digital cookie link, on public facing online sites.
Program links may NOT be shared in news media, such as radio, tv or magazines.
Council reserves the right to remove any post they feel is in violation of the online marketing policies.
How can parents advertise cookie sales on Social Media?
Price per package.
Core Varieties: Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Savannah Smiles, and Trefoils.
Specialty Cookies: GF Toffee Tastics, and Smores(in new soft packaging)
What is $5.00 and $6.00?
For safety 2 adults must be present at all times(one registered and background checked). Girl Scouts in 6th grade or above may attend a booth 1 legal guardian who is registered and background checked to 1 girl scout.
What are booth safety ratios?
January 14th, and 15th and 16th, Rounds 1, 2 and 3 of online booth lottery. Your troop will select one booth slot each evening online at 7pm PST. There is NO other way to sign up for booths. The first 3 rounds are only MM SU designated store locations. January 20-26, Rounds 4 through 10 are open to the WHOLE council. This means you can book out of area on round 4 and beyond.
When is the booth lottery?
Wednesday, February 13th, last day for exchanges at the cookie cupboards. Full non-mixed cases can be exchanged for a case of 1 variety.
Every person picking up cookies at a cupboard must have a role assigned in eBudde. See page 21 in your TCM book on how to assign roles.
What is the cupboard exchange deadline?
Digital Cookie is a safe, password-protected site that enables parent/guardian supervision of a platform girls create to market their cookie program goals and collect online orders.
Parents will receive an email invitation to launch their girls digital cookie platform.What is Digital Cookie?
Little Brownie Baker supplies cookies to San Diego Council. ABC baker supplies cookies to other areas outside of San Diego and has different varieties and pricing.
Who is our baker? How come my cousin in Los Angeles sells different cookies?
Maximum of 4 registered girl scouts per cookie time slot regardless of the number of doors. Minimum of 2 adults, maximum of 4 if there are 2 doors. No unregistered children. No pets.
What are the booth participant limits?
January 26, 2019, Corovan Warehouse Poway, 12375 Kerran St, Poway, Ca 92064. TBA.
January 28, 2019, Cookie Cupboards open, if your troop did not place an initial order this will be your opportunity get cookies.
When do we get our cookies?
Troops/TCM's are responsible for ALL cookies in their inventory, regardless of theft, damage or natural disaster. It is critical to get a signed authorization agreement from each family taking responsibility for their cookies. Girls that live in multiple households should have signed agreements from each parent/guardian/household that checks out cookies.
A signed M-3 receipt should be used for every transaction in your troop. Use a separate M-3 book for every girl.
Best practice is not to check out more than $500.00 worth of cookies, approx 100 packages, per girl.

How do I protect the troops/TCM's financial responsibility?
You can post your daughters digital cookie link if your profile is set to private and you personally know everyone the link is going to.
Can I post my girls digital cookie link?
When is the last day of cookie sales?
Never. Under NO circumstances should store management be involved in troop/girl conflicts. Refer problems to your SUCC or SUM. You should have a copy of your booth assignment with you in case of questions. The troop assigned in eBudde is the defined owner of the time slot. If the store management asks you to leave, you must pack up immediately, contact your SUCC.
When should store location management be involved in troop/girl conflicts?
January 27, 2019, 9am. No earlier, no online orders can be taken before this time either. Door to door sales or Driveway standabouts MUST include a parent/guardian/chaperone.
When do cookie sales start?
Cookies can NOT be returned to council for any reason. Once you receive them your troop/TCM is financially responsible. Be cautious when checking out cookie inventory.
Options: Transfer cookies to another troop or acquire additional booths. Encourage your girls to reach out to people they have already sold to, to stock their freezers.
Communicate with your SUCC and SUM throughout cookie sales if your troop is struggling. Local troops should support each other.
What if my troop has too many cookies?
Digital cookie gives every girl the opportunity to accept credit card for their personal sales. Square or venmo or paypal or other 3rd party payer can NOT be used by individual girls.
How can my girl take credit cards?
Operation Thin Mint is the charitable giving program during cookie season. Girls receive a one package credit for every 5 dollars of donations collected. The money and box count must be reported by the TCM in eBudde by March 10, 2019. Charitable donations in excess of $249.00 must be directly reported to council, see page 8, under large donations. Do NOT deposit donations of $250.00 or more from a single person or entity in your troop account.
What is OTM?
If your troop can not utilize your assigned booth time, please cancel in eBudde ASAP even if the shift has already started. Consider posting on our SU Facebook Page so that others in our area can take the slot first.
What do you do if your troop can't use their booth time?
February 11, 2019, first cookie payment will be deducted from your troop account. $1.00 for every box in your inventory as of Sunday, February 3rd, 11:59pm. If your troop can NOT meet this deadline, email reconciliation@sdgirlscouts.org by Sunday, February 10th.
March 15, 2019, all troop data should be final in eBudde including girl reward orders.
Funds for final payment must be in the troop bank account by this date.
Paperwork due to SUCC for outstanding balances.

Hold a troop cookie party meeting to review rules and regulations with parents and girls together.
See page 12 of your TCM handbook. Council stores have party packs you can purchase for cookie tastings. Ask an experienced TCM for guidance to attend your meeting and answer questions.
Direct your parents to actually READ the agreement they are signing, guidelines can be found there.

How do you make sure your parents receive all the rules?
