Yes, because you bring it to public without getting the authors permission and you give the people there a chance to watch it for free

I go home and go on piratebay.org where they pirate movies and music and you can download them for free. I then put movies on a disc and sell it to the people for double the prize as the real movie costs. Am I violating the copyright?
Yes because you dont have the authors permission to display it to public and also because you get it for free when you are not allowed

During art class, my teacher told me to make the best painting in the world. I made my painting and when I was done i decided to write a quote from Pablo Picasso. I write his name to give him credit. Am i violating the copyright
No, because I am giving credit to the author who makes the quote.
