-Student Life allows organizations and potential organizations a safe space to table.

-A registration process. 

-Student Life provides organizations who register in advance with a guaranteed table. 

-Occasionally there are supplementary art supplies that are available as well upon request. 

-Student Life incentivizes student attendance by offering a food item to students who visit 6 or more tables.

Do rehearsals count as service hours?

No! To find out how to evaluate and report service hours and Civic Action, consult with iCED or designate someone in your organization to serve as the VP of Service and Civic Engagement.

So should the club do 25 hours by the 15th of every month? 

No! You only need to submit 25 hours per each term - 25 for Fall and 25 for Spring!

What do requirements does a person need to meet in order to be an eligible member of a club at North Campus?

1) They must be a degree-seeking MDC student 

2) Have 6.0 more credits at North Campus and/or Meek Center

3) Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher

Is Club Rush mandatory for clubs?

According to the Registered Student Organization packet, clubs must plan to register, attend, and actively participate in the Club Rush process.

1. Maintain good standing

2. Maintain their advisor

3. Keep their Sharknet updated

4. Get their members on Sharknet and Corq App

5. Host a monthly meeting

6. Host at least one campus event per term

What is a Civic Action Scorecard and why does my club need 50 points? 

A Civic Action Scorecard is a way to monitor that your club is completing some form of civic engagement each term.

What are some examples of ways to obtain points for the Civic Action Scorecard?

Activities include things like: helping someone register to vote, attending, watching, or listening to a live community, city, county, or state meeting, peacefully attend a demonstration or protest with a sign, or reading two articles of civic importance. These are things that can be easily done at your meetings or as a social event or activity!
