The act of thinking about a topic to surface questions that help expand your understanding of the subject

How is college different from High School?

College: You have choice: of major, classes, schedule, and professors, discussions are a big part of your learning, developing critical thinking and being able to vocalize your opinion about a topic of discussion and back that idea(s) by solid scholarly research that has been peer reviewed. It is transformational and can be very meaningful.

Why are values important to have and live up to?

Values are what drives are the what and how of why we do the things we do. Values align with our why. It helps us make discissions that are in alignment with what we believe in and what we hope will bring us success.

Describe the method of organizing your time based on an Italian word? 

What is the Pomodoro Technique. You take a 30 minute interval and you break it up into 25 minute intervals of work with a 5 minute break in between this is known as one pomodoro after the time clock that the inventor used to create the technique. The idea is to structure your study time with blocks of "Pomodoro's".

This is a brain that operates on joy and fun because it is in a secure learning environment where failures are not deemed bad they are part of the learning experience.

Why does survival brain happen? 

Students do not feel supported. Student do not feel a sense of belonging and are unsafe in their learning environments.
