The caller is Norfolk PD. The police responded to the Curly family home due to a call from a child regarding their mother not waking up. Norfolk PD and EMT responded to the scene and found the mother unconscious. There were 3 children home ages 2, 5, and 7. The mother was administered Narcan and came to. The mother advised EMT that she had taken Percocet she bought from a friend. The mother was transported to the Hospital. The children were released to the father.

A toxicology test was completed and the child was positive for alprazolam, which is a generic brand from Xanax. The mother reported that the medication was on her dresser in a pill dispenser. The mother was downstairs and the 2 year old was upstairs playing in his room. The mother believes the 2 years may have went into her room without her knowledge.

The caller reported that Norfolk PD responded to the home due to a domestic dispute. The caller reported that the mother was assaulted by the father while she was holding her 2 month old child. At some point during the physical altercation the infant fell out of the mother's arms onto the couch. The infant was assessed by EMT and did not have any injuries. The father was detained for domestic assault and strangulation. There is an EPO in place for mom and the infant. Mother was provided with YWCA info.
