The right to be represented by a lawyer
What is Assistance of Counsel?
If a death occurs when someone committed a felony, even if it was accidental
What is Felony Murder?
Isolating a person by themselves in a jail/prison cell
What is Solitary Confinement?
When the judge determines the sentence or punishment for the crime
What is a Sentencing Hearing?
The questioning of a witness by a lawyer (during the trial)
What is Direct Examination?
The intention of killing someone that happens in the "heat of the moment" (not premeditated, but sometimes provoked)

Releasing someone from their term upon obeying conditions

When a person lies or does not tell the truth under oath

The questioning of an opposing lawyer attempting to discredit the testimony

A hearing held to see if a case has sufficient evidence to go to trial

The area where the governement/authorites have control over

The punishment of death for committing the crime
