The Acceptable Athletic Donor Criteria
What is:
Donor is athletic with a history of strenuous exercise • Donor is not overweight • Donor is well-nourished and hydrated • Donor is not taking any medications that may lower the pulse rate • Donor consistently has a lower pulse (Applicant donors will not have a pulse history and may still be considered for Athletic Donor status)
Vaccine Deferral Period for:
Hepatitis A & B
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)

Review donor’s original response(s) and any additional information recorded in reception regarding the response
Question the donor for further information about their response(s).
Determine suitability. Use Medical Staff Reference, if necessary.
Document resolution of MSA Evaluation of Prior Questionnaire: Acknowledge flag or add deferral
Document justification for suitability determination in comment box

What is:

What is:
Any medical transportation, recommended medical transportation, hospitalization, outside care of the donor, citrate reaction, or any other significant event.
