Liam took a Intro to Writing course in the fall quarter, and Vivian is taking the same course now in spring quarter. Vivian asks to see one of Liam's old assignments because the instructor didn't give clear instructions. Vivian later rephrases a paragraph from Liam's paper and uses it in her submission.

This is misconduct on Vivian's part - she didn't properly cite Liam's original paper (plagiarism) and it is likely against course policy to view the work of other students in this way.

Liam would also be asked to meet with a conduct officer to discuss their involvement. It is always best to avoid sharing your work with others!
