A language disorder in the area of morphology, syntax, semantics, and/or pragmatics which adversely affects a student's educational performance
What is communication impaired?
The Child Study Team member that typically obtains student background and developmental/medical history
Who is the school social worker?

What is the length of the referral process?
A pervasive disability which significantly impacts verbal and nonverbal communication and social interaction that adversely affects a student's educational performance
What is autistic?
The Child Study Team member who evaluates the student's academic ability and knowledge
Who is the learning disabilities teacher consultant?
The point discrepancy that must exist between a student's IQ and achievement ability level for them to qualify for a specific learning disability classification
What is 22 points?
A disability characterized by having limited strength, vitality, or alertness due to chronic or acute health problems (e.g. ADHD, ADD, sickle cell anemia, epilepsy, etc.)
What is other health impaired?
The Child Study Team member who determines the student's intellectual achievement ability
Who is the school psychologist?
An individualized education program which consists of academic, developmental, and functional needs of the student
What is an IEP?
The existence of two disabling conditions which cause severe educational needs that cannot be addressed in a program designed solely to address one of the conditions
What is multiply disabled?
A speech and language therapist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and/or additional specialists (e.g. psychiatrists)
Who are the additional therapists/specialists that can be included in a Child Study Team evaluation?
A requirement for CST testing and specialized services to be initiated
What is parental consent?
A condition exhibiting one or more of the following characteristics:
- Inability to learn
- Inability to build or maintain relationships with peers and teachers
- Inappropriate types of behaviors or feelings under normal circumstances
