A mistaken idea or belief many people have about a thing or group that is based upon how they look on the outside, which may be untrue or partly true.
What is a stereotype?
An attitude that always favors one way of feeling or acting over any other.
What is bias?
Unfair treatment of one particular person or group of people.
What is discrimination?
Differences: people may be different in many ways, including race or ethnicity, age, ability, language, culture, appearance, or religion.
What is diversity?
Moves beyond tolerance in the direction of “That is OK.”
