Call 911 to take them to get treatment. Apply a cold pack gently and apply gauze without using pressure if it's bleeding. If you're certified to, you can do a splint using the triangle bandages or rigid splints in the crash bag.
How often are you supposed to check the crash bag?

Rest, Immobilize/Ice, Compress/cold, Elevate.
Can people wear goggles when they go down the slide?
Nope. They can put them around their wrists though.
What type of entry would you use for an active spinal deep water rescue in comp?
Slide-in.
How do you give rescue breaths for a pediatric victim using an adult mask instead of a pediatric mask?
Flip the mask so the nose part is over the mouth, and the rounded chin side is above the nose. It may cover the victim's eyes. The mask is sealed the same way.
What do we keep in the Shave kit?
Razor, Shaving cream, biohazard bag, scissors, and alcohol prep pads.

You see a mother breastfeeding on a bench while you're rotating to Comp. What do you do?
Nothing. Mothers can breastfeed anywhere, however, and with whomever they want.
When would you use emergency backboarding in a spinal rescue?
You don't have any pediatric AED pads available. How do you place adult AED pads on a pediatric patient?
Put one pad on the middle of their back and the other in the center of their chest (baby sandwich)
What is the name of the blood thinner we carry in the crash bag? What do we use it for?
Aspirin, used for heart attacks.
what does OPQRST stand for?
Onset, Provocation/palliation, Quality, Radiation, Severity, Time.
Can you have lifejackets in comp?
No, with the only exception being the shallow section is open for free swim.
You are providing rescue breaths, but they don't go in. What do you do?
Re-tilt the head and try again. If it fails to go in, continue to compressions. If you see the chest rise, give a second breath.
