the first thing you learn/beginning of combo sticks the most, the last thing/most recent thing you learn sticks the most-- go for strong beginnings and endings.
Explain the relationship between speed of turning/rotation and distribution of mass relative to the center of gravity.
The closer to the center of gravity an object's mass is gathered, the faster the object will rotate. The farther away/more spread out the mass, the slower the rotation.
How is isolation used differently in ballet, tap, and jazz?
Ballet- isolate upper from lower body, or right from left, to make movements look effortless. Jazz-- isolate hips, shoulders, hand movements to draw attention/accentuate music, tap- isolate different movement zones in foot and leg to control sounds
Dance battle-- teams take turns playing "charades" by performing excerpts from pieces from the showcase until a team can't remember any more pieces or a team is stumped by an excerpt.
