Dialectical-behavioral therapy is used for those who struggle with interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, or impulsivity. It was traditionally used for Treatment of BPD and those with self-harm/suicidal ideation, but it has since evolved to support many populations including all DYS involved youth. The purpose of DBT is to teach skills to use to tolerate distress/intense emotions
