How does the parable of the 10 virgins relate to the second coming?
The ten virgins represent the members of the church, having the gospel and knowing the requirements for having eternal life. The oil represents spiritual power derived from the Holy Ghost. Yet many will procrastinate in their doubting if He will ever come or simply be distracted by other things in life instead of preparing. If we do not prepare continually we will not be ready when He does come.
