Upon acceptance, you will get your schedule 2 weeks before starting. After level 1, your schedule will be sent out a month prior.

I absolutely hear you! I apologize that this was miscommunicated. The core portion of the program is 16 months total, and trust me, it flies by!

A student says "I just started this class and my professor is awful. I want to switch professors."

First, let the student know that you hear their concerns. Second, ask the student to follow up with the professor. Third, have the student reach out to the SSC to file a formal complaint.

Student: Do I need the covid vaccine????

GCU does not require the COVID vaccine, though our clinical partners may. It's important that you work with your FCC on this.

Student: I thought GCU paid for the HESI. I will not be taking it then.

You will need to pass the HESI to be able to apply. Unfortunately, there is no way around this. This is the thing standing in the way of following your dreams to become a nurse, and in 16 months you will not even remember paying that $86. :)

Unfortunately, we have clinical partnerships at specific hospitals, specific to each site.

As a reminder, everything is hypothetical until it is official. 

Example Scenario: It seems your ____ course came in at 3 credits instead of 4, something we would not have been sure of until the grade was brought over. We can get you in a study.com course and try to boost that GPA.

No, all things need to be completed to submit the app. Feel free to reach out to your professor to ask if they can grade things sooner.

Student: My UDC told me that I was good to go on GPA and now you are telling me that I need to take more classes??

I know that is sort of confusing; your university GPA differs from your ABSN specific GPA. While you are eligible to apply to the ABSN program, you need to maintain a 3.25 prereq and 3.0 program GPA.
