Mason had a sore throat and did not tell his mother about it. The consequence was that the next day his throat felt worse, and he felt like he had a fever. When reflecting back, what did Mason think he could do differently next time?
When reflecting back, Mason realizes if he told his mom the day before, his sore throat may have gotten better, and not been worse the next day. Next time he will tell his mom right away.
You always brush your teeth before bed, even when you are tired. Positive or Negative consequence?
Positive. You are practicing good oral hygiene. You are avoiding cavities and stains. Your mouth feels fresh and clean and the dentist is proud of you!

Consequence
What is the consequence? You play outside instead of doing your reading homework.
You get a zero for your homework and your parents and teacher are unhappy. You have to sit inside for recess the next day.
Michael ran a stop sign while riding his bicycle in a race with his friend. The consequence of this was that Michael lost the race and fell off his bike trying to miss being hit by a car. When reflecting back, what does Michael think he would do differently next time?
When Michael reflects back, he realizes that if he stopped at the stop sign, he would have been able to stop on time and not fall off of his bike. Stopping at the stop sign would have kept him safe.
It’s Friday night. You have a football game tomorrow morning. It is the final playoff game for your team to make it to the championship. You stayed up until 11 pm playing video games. Positive or Negative consequence?
Negative. You may oversleep because you were up late. You may miss your game. You may feel like you let yourself down, your coach, your family and your teammates.
Jordan saw Joe calling others names on the playground. He told Joe to stop and told the teacher. Good decision or Poor decision?
Good decision. Jordan is being an upstander!
What is the consequence? Lilly went through her sister's clothes and took a shirt without asking.
Her sister is upset with her for taking her things without asking.
Olivia and Zoe ran down the hallway to the water fountain. As a consequence, Zoe tripped, fell and cut her lip. When reflecting back, what would Zoe have done differently next time?
When reflecting back, Zoe realized that if she would have walked down the hallway she would have been safe and not cut her lip. Next time she will walk instead of running.
You found money in your driveway. Instead of keeping it, you asked your parents if it was theirs. It was. Positive or Negative consequence?
Positive. You were honest and will feel proud of yourself for doing the right thing. If you lost money, you would want someone to return it to you.
Alexis introduced herself to the new girl at school and even sat next to her at lunch. Good decision or Poor decision?
Good decision. Making others feel welcomed and included is very kind! It also makes you and the other person feel good!
What is the consequence? Devin was nervous about trying out for the lead role in the school play, but he tried out anyway and got the role!
Devin is happy he tried despite being nervous, it was a positive outcome!
Timothy shoved a friend down during recess because he was frustrated. As a consequence, Timothy's friend got hurt and Timothy went to the principal's office and got a phone call home. When reflecting back, what would Timothy have done differently?
You listened carefully during classroom lessons, you studied for your test and did all of your homework. Positive or Negative consequence?
Positive. When you put in the effort, and try your best, you will receive a good grade. This will make you feel good, and make your parents and teacher proud!
