Why/ when is a core build up needed?
•A tooth needs a buildup to reinforce and restore its structure when there isn't enough natural tooth remaining to support a crown or bridge, often after a root canal or due to extensive decay, chips, or large fillings. A buildup creates a stable base for a dental crown to prevent it from becoming unstable or breaking and to protect the strength and natural appearance. If not enough structure some teeth may require a post to help structure.
