His name in Greek is Heracles, while it is Herakles in Roman. His name means "The Glory of Hera"

When Hercules got frustrated while learning the lyre, he hit his teacher over the head with it, instantly killing him.

His son.

He ordered him to make his funeral pyre, where he laid down. Lightning then struck, and he disappeared, which is when he became an immortal god.

Show. It aired from 1995-1996 that starred Kevin Sorbo as Hercules. The show was popular partially because of the pop culture references throughout the series.

Yes.

He strangled the snakes, which were put in his crib by Hera. Throughout his life, Hera caused many events to try and hurt/kill Hercules.

These birds had claws, wings, and beaks of iron. Hercules forced the birds into nests and shot them, and was helped by Athena.

Who was Deianeira? (wife or sister)

His wife.

She was a princess, and won her by fighting the river god Achelous.

He later saved her from a Centaur named Nessus. Right before dying, Nessus gave her some of his blood to secure Hercules' love for her. When she thought Hercules was cheating on her, she put the blood on one of this robes, which burnt his skin. She killed herself after this.

Magic ended his mortal life, and supernatural forces were the only thing that could beat him.

How many heads does the Lernaean Hydra have?

Nine. 


It was Hercules' 2nd task to kill this beast. It lived in a swamp, and one of its heads was immortal, while the other 8 regenerated. 

Hercules cut off 8 of the heads and burned the wound so they could not regenerate, and buried the creature under a rock with its immortal head still attached.

In the 9th task, Hercules had to obtain the Girdle of Hippolyte. Hippolyte was the queen of what place? (Also the name of a famous rain forest)

The Queen of the Amazon.

The queen gave Hercules the girdle, but the amazons thought he was going to kidnap her, so they attacked, and he ended up killing the queen.

Immortal.

Hercules went to the oracle at Delphi to see how he could pay for sins sins after killing his three children. He was sent to King Eurystheus of Tiryns, who gave him the 12 labors. Oracle said if he completed them, he would become immortal.

Three.

It was Hercules' 10th task to capture this animal. It lived on the far west side of Erythia. Hercules first killed Geryon (herdsman) and a guard dog, then returned the cattle to Tiyans.

In the 12th task, Hercules had to capture the Capture Cerberus. What gates did this animal guard? (heaven or underworld)

Underworld.

The Capture Cerberus is a three-headed dog that Hades said he could take as long as he used no weapons. Hercules wrestled the beast and gave it drugged food.
