What is taking children offsite?
Yelling at a child or minimalizing their feelings.
What is shaming a child?
Using your voice, self advocating, and communicating your thoughts and feelings in the work place allow for positive growth. *Growth is selfcare
What is having courageous conversations?
A staff person or volunteer must not force or bribe a child to eat nor use food as a reward or punishment.
What is nutrition?
The culture in which the mix of people can come to work, feel comfortable and confident to be themselves, and work in a way that suits them and delivers your business or service needs
What is inclusivity?
All classroom paperwork will be updated as children arrive, at the specified meal times, and all attendance cards will reflect who is currently in attendance.

Children unable to sleep during naptime shall not be confined to a sleeping surface (cot, crib, etc.) but instead must be offered a supervised place for quiet play.

Any discipline used must relate to the child's action and be handled without prolonged delay on the part of the staff so that the child is aware of the relationship between his/ her actions and the consequences of those actions
