Big 6 Requirements
To earn credit in Discovery, you must turn in this many assignments at a 70% grade or better.
What is all of the assignments?
On the first and second redirects, the teacher will ask this question first.
What is the phrase "How are your attending skills?"
This P means being on time and responding quickly to a request.
What is prompt?
This attending skill involves being in the moment and not being distracted by outside things like phones.
What is actively engaged
This Tribal Rules show that everyone in the group are equals and that everyone is a part of the group.
What are desks touch?
All assignments, tests, the autobiography, and the role-play must score at least score.
What is 70%?
This is the person responsible for knowing how many redirects a student is on.
Who is the student?
This P means having all of the materials ready and being mentally ready to attend.
What is prepared?
This attending skill involves looking for clarification and a better understanding of the topic at hand.
What is asking clarifying questions?
Instead of saying "Hey guy" we would use these to talk to group members.
What is using names?
The one day you must attend is during this activity.
What is the service learning project?
This redirect consists of a meeting outside the classroom.
What is the 3rd redirect?
This P is respecting each other's beliefs and not being rude.
What is polite?
This attending skill involves scanning the room and looking at the speaker.
What is appropriate eye contact?
At the beginning of group work, you should do this by shaking hands and telling the other person your name.
What is introducing yourself?
You cannot fail this many tests simultaneously and continue with Discovery.

This redirect is when you are asked to leave and come back tomorrow ready to attend again.
What is the fourth redirect?
This P involves being optimistic and being in the right mindset for class.

This attending skill involves sitting with good posture or standing.
What is appropriate body language?
This is how you treat others well in a group setting.

Not really one of the Big 6, but this is what happens upon receiving a 3rd absence.

You can get an automatic fourth redirect if your behavior alters this.

This P involves turning in quality work and completing the task at hand.

This attending skill involves responding to others politely, directly, and on topic.
