The customer needs to provide an original or certified copy of a Marriage Certificate issued by a Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in an Australian State or Territory to show the link between the married and maiden name. Commemorative marriage certificates are not acceptable

You receive an application for "Fred Jones" the provided ID, Individual Credit Report & Application all match but when looking at the Company Report you note it lists "Fred Jobes". How do you resolve this discrepancy?

As the discrepancy is minor and could be due to a spelling error leave clear notes in KYC to explain we have confirmed legal name & it has been noted as a discrepancy. When emailing the broker your thank you, advise them of their noted discrepancy and advise the customer may wish to seek advice from their accountant or solicitor to rectify this discrepancy to avoid future issues.

Email the broker outlining the discrepancy and providing the following options:

A Valid Passport or Birth Certificate showing the full legal name and update the CIF accordingly

If the Drivers Licence is correct and there is no middle name, the customer may wish to seek advice from their accountant or solicitor to rectify this discrepancy.
