-5 TRU's (Transformer Rectifier units)

300

What are the 2 primary forces that affect global winds? Explain each.

-Pressure Gradient Force - force driving winds from higher to lower pressure

-Coriolis Force - Deflection force of winds due to the earth's rotation

300

What is RVSM?

Reduced Vertical Separation Minima

RVSM is from FL290-FL410 and reduces separation from 2,000' to 1,000'.

300

What is a SERMN route and what is it used for?

SWAP Escape Route Metro New York

Explain Dispatcher Operating Familiarization Training (Jumpseat Familiarization)

Within the preceding 12 calendar months, a dispatcher must complete 5 hours of observation from the flight deck in one of the the types in each group to be dispatched. Time can be reduced by 1 hour for after each additional takeoff and landing to a minimum of 2 1/2 hours. 5 hours in a simulator can be used to meet requirements but can't be reduced.
