What is Silvery Barbs?

A Wizard leaps into battle, eager to show off their abilities against a Ghost. They first cast Fireball as an Action at 3rd level on the Ghost. It passes the save and is resistant, so it only takes 1/4th of the 8d6 fire damage it would normally take.

Dejected, the Wizard now casts Misty Step as a Bonus Action to get away.

Um Actually, you can't cast two spells with a spell slot in a turn.

Following a controversial rule change, Paladins must now use a Bonus Action to cast Divine Smite, and all other smite spells. Paladins also gained ability to cast each Divine Smite and Find Steed once per day for free with no cost. Otherwise, all Paladins are still limited in terms of spell level. They can only cast from cantrips up to 5th level.

Um Actually, Paladins can't cast cantrips.

What is Wish and Simulacrum?

1200

A Monk with 12 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 10 Constitution, 12 Wisdom, 13 Intelligence, and 14 Charisma wants to multiclass into Paladin.

The Monk then takes the Mage Slayer feat at Level 4, which bumps their Strength up to 13. Now, at Level 5, they multiclass into Paladin now that they satisfy both the Strength and Charisma requirement, which are both needed in order to multiclass.

Um Actually, the Monk needs to have a 13 Wisdom to multiclass.

What is the Peasant Railgun?

A rogue and cleric are fighting a Beholder. It is first the Rogue's turn. They Dash as a Bonus Action, then as an Action use a spell scroll to cast Booming Blade on the Beholder. At that exact moment, a Grave Cleric unleashes a Readied action to give the Beholder vulnerability to piercing damage.

Then, the Beholder takes its turn and targets all three eye rays on the Cleric. It ends its turn, then uses a Legendary Action to Bite the Rogue.

Um Actually, Legendary Actions can only be taken at the end of another creature's turn.

What is Glyph of Warding?

2000

Ena, Qunai, Castii, and Finley are all fighting two mage hunters, and rolled initiative in that order.
Ena takes his turn and first uses his bonus action to use Steady Aim. He then performs sneak attack with a thrown dagger on the first mage hunter, followed by Wails of the Grave which targets the second mage hunter.
Qunai takes her turn, first commanding Salto to attack with a bonus action, followed by two greatsword swings. Miraculously, both of them crit, so she uses Savage Attacker twice on the same turn to get two additional damage dice on top of the regular crit damage.
Castii takes his turn, using Wild Shape as a bonus action to activate his Starry Form, choosing the Archer. He then takes an action to fire an attack with the archer form, afraid of what casting an actual spell in front of the mage hunter might do.
Finley takes his turn, activating his Form of Dreams with a bonus action, and he gains 18 temporary hit points (the maximum he can gain!). He then uses his action to fire off two Eldritch Blast beams, then attempts to frighten the mage hunters with his Form of Dreams. It fails.
Finally, the mage hunters take their turn. They move in, attack the party, then move away. Ena makes an attack of opportunity with sneak attack since Qunai is within 5 feet of the mage hunter before it left his range.

Um actually, Castii doesn't need to take an action to fire off his archer form.
