Name the difference between Type One, Gestational, and Type Two Diabetes

Type One is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks insulin-producing cells, requiring daily insulin and constant blood sugar management. It is not preventable, incurable.

Type Two is when the body still produces insulin, but cannot use it effectively (insulin resistance). Can be genetic, related to lifestyle in some cases, and has many links to intersectional environmental and socio-economic factors. In some cases, can be prevented and/or put into remission.

Gestational Diabetes is developed during pregnancy when the body cannot produce enough insulin, often resolving after childbirth. Increases the mother's risk of developing Type 2 later
