There have always been those who seek signs. Signs are manifestations or miracles, God has told us and shown us He will sometimes give them to those who seek, but they will not be to their salvation. Faith cannot be obtained through signs, signs can only strengthen the faith of those who already believe. "....for without faith, no man pleaseth God."

We need to beware how we use the name of the Lord. There are multiple ways we take His name in vain. The most commonly thought of is in profane speech. When we swear falsely by not being true to our oaths and promises, when we presume to speak in God's name with out having authority, and when we fail to keep His commandment, since we have taken His name upon us at the time of our baptism.
