HOW CAN ONE BE A SON OF THE FATHER, AS THE BIBLE DECLARES?
RECEIVING AND BELIEVING IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST (JN.1:12)
Jhn 1:12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
WHO GIVES GIFTS TO BELIEVERS TO BUILD UP THE CHURCH?
THE HOLY SPIRIT (1 COR. 14:12).
1Co 14:12 Since you are so eager to have spiritual gifts, ask God for those that will be of real help to the whole church.
WHAT DOES THE GREEK WORD SUNEGEIRO (“RESURRECT”) MEAN AND WHAT DOES EPHESIANS 2:6 TALK ABOUT?
IT MEANS TO RAISE UP TOGETHER WITH; IT SPEAKS OF THE BELIEVER'S SPIRITUAL RESURRECTION WITH CHRIST.
Eph 2:6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms—all because we are one with Christ Jesus.
WHAT DOES THE SECURITY OF SALVATION DEPEND ON?
IT DEPENDS ON GOD, WHO THROUGH JESUS CHRIST DID THE PERFECT WORK OF REDEMPTION, AND IS FAITHFUL TO HIS PROMISES.
HOW SHOULD WE WORK OUT OUR SALVATION ACCORDING TO PHILIPPIANS 2:12?
WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING, RECOGNIZING THE GREATNESS AND HOLINESS OF THE SALVATION WE HAVE RECEIVED.
Php 2:12 Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God's saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
ACCORDING TO 1 PETER 3:21, WHAT EFFECT DOES BAPTISM HAVE ON THE BELIEVER'S CONSCIENCE?
IT PRODUCES A GOOD CONSCIENCE THAT DISTINGUISHES BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL.
1Pe 3:21 And this is a picture of baptism, which now saves you by the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection. Baptism is not a removal of dirt from your body; it is an appeal to God from a clean conscience.
WHAT BENEFIT DO WE GET ACCORDING TO 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17?
WE ARE A NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY, AND ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.
2Co 5:17 What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!
MENTION TWO BENEFITS OF SALVATION.
(1) FATHERHOOD: WE ARE MADE CHILDREN OF GOD (JOHN 1:12). (2) ETERNAL LIFE: WE RECEIVE THE ABUNDANT LIFE THAT CHRIST OFFERS (JOHN 3:16; 10:10).
WHAT DOES THE GREEK WORD "SUNEIDESIS" MEAN AND WHAT DOES IT RELATE TO A “GOOD CONSCIENCE”?
IT MEANS MORAL CONSCIENCE, THE ABILITY TO DISCERN BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CITIZEN OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN?
THAT WE HAVE COME OUT OF THE WORLD OF SIN AND NOW HAVE A NEW ETERNAL CITIZENSHIP WITH CHRIST (PHIL. 3:20; JN. 14:3).
Php 3:20 But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.
WHY DOES THE ASSURANCE OF SALVATION NOT DEPEND ON WHAT WE HAVE?
BECAUSE GOD OWNS EVERYTHING, AND MAN CANNOT BUY HIS SALVATION (PS. 24:1; MT. 16:26).
Psa 24:1 A psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
Mat 16:26 And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul?
WHAT DOES MATTHEW 28:19 TEACH ABOUT THE LINK BETWEEN BAPTISM AND DISCIPLESHIP?
BAPTISM CONSTITUTES THE BELIEVER INTO A DISCIPLE OF CHRIST.
Mat 28:19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST?
THAT WE ARE PART OF THE CHURCH; WE ARE NOT ALONE, BUT UNITED IN A SPIRITUAL FAMILY (1 COR. 12:12-20).
1Co 12:12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is with the body of Christ.
1Co 12:13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into Christ's body by one Spirit, and we have all received the same Spirit.
1Co 12:14 Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part.
WHAT IS THE MAIN CONCLUSION OF THE TOPIC REGARDING THE BELIEVER'S OBEDIENCE?
BAPTISM IS AN ACT OF OBEDIENCE AND LOVE FOR THE LORD THAT BRINGS BLESSING AND FREEDOM.
