Communication is Key

In your opinion what is the best to improve communication amongst ourselves as Echo Co Cadre?

2000

What is the first line of offense in preventing Trainee abuse?

. To be effective, drill sergeants, commanders, instructors (military/DA Civilian) and other cadre should rely heavily upon each other by being vigilant for signs or indications of a potential abuser. These cadre members are our first lines of defense against Trainee abuse.

2000

You observe your fellow Drill Sergeant/Cadre member have a conversation with a trainee that is NOT inappropriate but is personal. However, the conversation has nothing to do with Army professional work. How can you as a Drill Sergeant/ Cadre member address this situation to prevent potential fraternization and or perceived favoritism?

We have to work as a team by checking ourselves and our peers by reminding each other that our goal here is help Soldiers graduate. We have to ensure we're abiding by the AR 350-6, the chain of command philosophy and the Army Values.
