The books have super detailed descriptions of the geography of the places, which made the reading way too tedious. Because when you are reading about a quest through new lands, detailed descriptions are the last thing you need. Besides, heroes are supposed to act like heroes, not like cowards. And that IMO is what BLANK is: a coward forever denying his mission. A coward who leaves the comfort of his home to go on a life-threatening mission to save his village and the world.

Aside from the Book of Mormon, this book is likely the most overrated work of fiction ever written. Fitzgerald pales in comparison to writers like George Orwell, John Irving, or Kurt Vonigut who don’t feel the need to fill their books with unnecessary over description. Fitzgerald’s abuse of description goes too far and neither makes him a genius or a good writer as many have elevated him to such levels. All it does is make his writing more tedious to read than a google user agreement. Fitzgerald’s entire life’s work is utter garbage.
