Caption is a way for people to read what is happening on stage or screen

Unfortunately no! They are at work and shouldn't be distracted. You can admire them from afar, however.

Open captions are ones that are visible for everyone to see (the kind we use)
Closed captions can be turned on and off (you see those on Tv’s)
Where do service animals and people in wheelchairs sit?
Service animals sit under the seat. People who are in wheelchairs sit closest to the end of the aisle , in the first row and have their families sit next to them

What is a dramaturgy board? How can we make it accessible?
The dramaturgy board gives extra insight on the show. We can make it accessible by audio describing it and having it be 3D so people can touch it.
How long does it take to AD?
How ever long is needed to get all of the details in, multiple answers are very much possible.
What should be included in captioning?
Any important visual or audio cue! This includes talking, musical sounds, or sound effects.
How should you assist a blind patron?
Ask if you can touch their arm to lead them someplace, or you can walk alongside them. You can also alert them to any obstacles in their way.
Where is the Black Box theater?
Right when you enter the theatre wing.
What is a sensory seminar?
Also called a touch tour, for blind or hard of seeing people to get a better understanding of things like the set and costumes before house officially opens.

Everyone has a different process that works best for them
What is the best format for captioning?
Having a black background and white text is easier to read. With 45-50 type font
What is something you shouldn’t do with a wheelchair bound person?
You should not touch the chair without asking, Don’t ask why they are in a wheelchair. Don't talk to the person they might be with instead of them.
Where is the D-Lab?
Once you enter the theatre wing you turn left through the doors to a lounge looking area, make a right from there and it will be the double doors there.
How do the assisted listing devices work?
Verify with stage management that the switch is on in the sound booth and when you hand it to them make sure it on. Learn more here

What is something you should do with a wheelchair bound person?
Maintain eye level with them, you may have to bend or sit down. Wait for someone to allow you to touch their chair before you do. Give clear instructions on how far away things are and any possible difficulties they may have.
Is the DOYO accessible? How?
In some ways it is because there are no stairs to reach the theatres but there's no built-in accessible seating
What is a decompression space like?
A space for people to go mostly if they feel over stimulated or overwhelmed and need a little bit of space.
