When is preeclampsia/eclampsia diagnosed?
At second trimester after 20 weeks.
Because they are caused by placental dysfunction that peaks during the second half of pregnancy, resulting in high blood pressure (>140/90mmHg) and sign of organ damage.
Drug of choice for preeclampicia /eclampsia?
Magnesium sulfate.
It is more effective than traditional anticonvulsants (like diazepam or phenytonin) at preventing recurrent seizures and reducing maternal mortality.
What is the priority to assess in a patient receiving magnesium sulfate.
Decreasing or diminished deep tendon reflex or patellar reflex.
Earliest clinical sign of magnesium toxicity.
Magnesium sulfate acts as a central nervous system depressant and a calcium antagonist. As magnesium levels in the blood rise above the therapeutic range, the bodys systems shut down in a predictable, top-down.
What are the signs and symptoms of pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) triad.
Hypertension, protenuria, edema.

What is the treatment for endometriosis
Danazol.
Synthetic androgen steroids used to treat endometriosis by inducing a high androgen, low estrogen environment that causes endometriotic tissue to atrophy (pseudo-menopause)
High effective for reducing pain, usually prescribe at 200-400mg wise daily for 3-9 months.
