What is an inferred driver considered?
  • Family members calling in to help the insured obtain a quote, make a policy change, or answer questions on the policy do not automatically need to be developed as a driver exposure.  GLS25405
    • Development would only be required if during the conversation it is implied that the family member either resides in the household or drives the insured's vehicles.

A named insured asks if someone else would have coverage if they drive the insured's vehicle. Develop how often this person will drive the vehicle and, if in the household, understand if they are an exposure.

What is an Owner Non Driver?

  1. Add the named insured and the caretaker as drivers on the policy. Continue through the quote process until you reach the Premium screen.
  2. Once you reach the Premium screen, return back to the Drivers screen and remove the NI and re-rate.
