This Smooth Operator can tell you a whole lot about geysers, volcanoes, hot springs, and bears! They worked as a helicopter tour guide during college in theValley of Geysers. They cited the experience as a great way to practice their English and interpretation skills. I’d suggest bundling up, though, the average high temperature in the Valley of Geysers during November is only 32 degrees, with winds averaging at about 10mph.

This Smooth Operator is the life of the party! They recalled specifically a vacation to Jamaica. After a few too many rum punches, they led a bus full of travelers in a rendition of Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” on the wayback to the cruise ship.

This Smooth Operator is a certified makeup artist! When they were a child, they loved getting to wear makeup on Halloween, and watched YouTube tutorials to learn more about makeup application. By the time middle school rolled around, they were doing other people’s makeup in the bathroom before first hour. In their twenties, they became a certified MUA, and worked in that industry for a while before deciding that the industry was too competitive.

This Smooth Operator is a massive Trekkie. They love Star Trek because of its “boundless optimism” and cite The Next Generation as their favorite series.

Appropriately, Data is their favorite character. Enterprise comes in as their least favorite series because Captain Archer aggravates them.

This Smooth Operator is a jetsetter! Their favorite place they’ve been to was

Jamaica, but there’s one destination that tops their travel bucket list. That destination is Thailand. This operator hopes to go see this Southeast Asian country, and feast on some pad thai while learning about the country’s rich heritage. (But we can’t forget that they hope to do a Euro-tour sometime soon, too).

This Smooth Operator has an elephant’s memory for late 90s to mid-2000s cartoons. If they’ve seen it, they can tell you in detail about it. Ask them about Mirmo se va, which they described as “a rip-off of Hamtaro”, but with fairies. (They watched Mirmo se va at the age of 11).

This Smooth Operator had a traumatic bungee jumping experience. They won a contest that allowed them to go bungee jumping for free, and since the other winner was cute, this person did it to impress their jump buddy. Alas, our operator ate lunch before the jump, and barfed mid-air on their jump buddy. There was no offer for a date as hoped. They have not bungee jumped since.

Not all of those posters are from shows they’ve seen, but they make a killing flipping concert posters. The most expensive poster in their collection is worth $800, and it’s a Widespread Panic at Madison Square Garden poster from 2013.

This Smooth Operator is an artist! Before studying business in college, their major was Graphic Design and Jewelry/ Metals. In their spare time, they like to sketch with pencil and charcoal, specifically recreating portraits that they like. But you won’t see their work in a gallery, or in their house because they say “that is for other artists”.

This Smooth Operator has a musical background. They played piano, french horn, harmonica, and harp, as well as was classically trained in singing, but was deemed too short for upright bass in school. In college, they studied jazz theory and can recall a final exam that comprised of an 8 minute long interpretive dance utilizing traditional early 20th century jazz dance moves. The topic they choose to tackle via dance? Alien warfare.
