This Prophet received the revelation for the Saints about Zion and how to live. D&C 58:59

➡️ He was leading the Saints and receiving revelation from the Lord.
The Lord promises that if we’re patient during hard times, we’ll get this. D&C 58:2
What is a greater reward (or blessings after tribulation)?
The Lord reminds us that hard times come first, but this always comes afterward. D&C 58:3–4
What is blessings (or joy)?
Attitude we need to have, even in tough times. D&C 59:7
What is gratitude (or being thankful)?
One big way we show God we’re thankful is by doing this. D&C 59:5–8,

He was told to stay in Missouri and help build up Zion.

➡️ He was the bishop and was told to set a good example and help establish Zion.

if we only do good when someone tells us to, we’re not being this. D&C 58:26
What is wise (or a faithful servant)?
The Lord says we go to church on Sunday to do this important thing. D&C 59:9

Commandments bring peace now and help us have this in the future. D&C 59:23
What is eternal life (or lasting joy)?
This man being asked to support the bishop and be faithful. D&C 58:40
Who is William W. Phelps?
➡️ He was new to the Church and asked to help build Zion and be obedient.
The Lord promises this feeling to those who keep His commandments. D&C 59:23,
What is peace?
Where the Lord said Zion would be built—this place in Missouri. D&C 58:49
What is Independence, Missouri?
The Lord gave us the earth and everything on it, but He wants us to use it with this kind of attitude. D&C 59:18–20
What is thankfulness and wisdom (or care)?
The Lord promises physical and spiritual blessings if we do this simple thing regularly. D&C 59:15–16
What is fasting with prayer and purpose?
This man was told he’d have many trials but also many blessings. D&C 58:41
Who is Sidney Rigdon?
➡️ He was a Church leader and scribe, reminded that blessings come after trials.
If we honor the Sabbath, we’ll be able to do this better. D&C 59:9–10
What is stay closer to God (or be spiritually strengthened)?
The Lord will forgive us, if we do these two things. D&C 58:43
What is confess and forsake (stop) the sin?
The Lord says this happens when we forget to thank Him and think we earned blessings all on our own. D&C 59:21,

The Lord says that true disciples are willing to do this even when life is really hard. D&C 58:2
What is endure trials (or stay faithful through tribulation)?
This man was told he had sinned but could still be forgiven and serve. D&C 58:35
Who is Martin Harris?
➡️ He was one of the Three Witnesses and was taught that repentance brings mercy.
The Lord promises that if we offer our hearts in prayer and righteousness, this will happen to our joy. D&C 59:13
