Completing this is the first step in the Analytics Development process. The Analytics Team receives these and reviews together to ensure consistency and completeness in understanding before building.
What is the Request Form?
This is the person you will submit high praises to about your favorite Analytics Leads.
Who is Santosh?
This will determine whether or not we can take on a project and if we require Data Engineering support to complete it.
What is Data Availability?
This person loves the FB sticker trade.
Who is Sherry?
This phase of the development process includes developing a more comprehensive understanding and determining ownership of the request so it can be prioritized properly.
What is Request review?
The number of people that would regularly benefit from the completion of an analytics project can increase this.
What is Impact?
You will want to reach out to this person if you need help with:
- Trade, Logistics & Fulfillment
- Channel Operations & Planning

Who is Sherry?
This helps us to understand the size of our user base, who is using our solutions, how frequently, and whether or not the communicated priorities in the request form were accurate.
What is Usage Tracking?
This person loves dogs and has a Golden Retriever and a Cocker Spaniel.
Who is Kira?
In the analytics development process, this is when we prep data, review and land code, and ensure it meets the requirements for correctness and completeness.
What is Build & QA?
There are two perspectives from which we review requests. This first perspective considers the request requirements, impact, and urgency.
What is request completeness?
This person will be the point of contact for the following teams:
- Finance & Accounting
- Post-Sales Operations
- Business Enablement (Santosh Mathur's Team)
Who is Ben?
MySQL (a.k.a. Intern), Oracle, and Hive are the separate data sources we use at FB. The current initiative to consolidate this data will result in this 3 letter system acronym.
What is UDR or Unified Data Repository?
Ben and Kira enjoy this sport that two Ethiopians have each won two gold medals for.

What is Data Discovery?
This is the second perspective from which the Analytics Team reviews requests. This is when talent, resources, and blockers are considered before commitment.

The phase of development results in a flat, non-interactive visual intended to help us solidify the aesthetics and user experience rather than the correctness of the data.
