How do you properly administer ear drops, such as Ciprofloxacin?
Shake well, lay on the unaffected side with the affected ear in air, mix well and warm the bottle to room temp. Without touching the dropper to any surface, place prescribed drops in ear, while pulling pinna up and back (for adults). Pump Tragus 3 times.
What are side effects of ear drop medication administration, such as cipro?
If medication is not warmed to room temp, it could cause dizziness, swelling, rash and irritation of the skin.
What are contraindications of Ciprofloxacin or Hydrocortisone ear drops?
Hypersensitivity, perforated tympanic membrane, viral infection in the external canal.

Do not put this medication in your mouth, lay on your side for at least 1 minute post administration, or place a cotton ball in ear.
