Palm Sunday is the first day of the Holy Week. It celebrates the day of Jesus Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, riding on a yound donkey, in fulfillment of prophesy. People spread palm branches and clothing on the ground before Him, shouting, "Hosanna." This occured exactly one week before Jesus Christ's Resurrection, which is celebrated on Easter. This week also includes Good Friday.
